How we score, and what we refuse to guess
Every one of the 19 products we have published is scored against the same eight criteria, weighted the same way. The weights are below, the sub-scores are on each profile, and the arithmetic happens on our side so the number you see is the number we stand behind.
The eight criteria
Security & privacy
20%Access controls, encryption, audit logging, breach history, and how clearly the vendor documents its safeguards.
Usability
15%How quickly ordinary staff can do ordinary work without workarounds or training marathons.
Integration
15%Documented interfaces, standards support, and how well the product plays with the systems a practice already runs.
Reliability & maturity
10%Uptime posture, product maturity, and how the vendor communicates during incidents.
Support
10%Responsiveness, escalation paths, and whether help is included or sold separately.
AI readiness
10%Whether AI features are useful, disclosed, and governed, rather than announced.
Value
10%What a practice gets for the money, including the costs that surface after signing.
Small-practice fit
10%Whether a practice without a dedicated IT team can implement and run it.
