CareScope's take

Doxy.me's advantage is what it does not require. No app, no account, no download for the patient, which removes the failure that ruins most video visits. Feature depth is modest and the record integration is thin, so practices running high telehealth volume eventually want something more connected. For a practice doing a few visits a day, the simplicity is worth more than the features it lacks. Check the paid tier for waiting-room and session controls before assuming the free tier is enough for clinical use.

Why we like it

  • No patient app or download
  • Very fast to adopt
  • Low cost of entry

Where it falls short

  • Limited record integration
  • Feature set is intentionally narrow
  • Advanced controls require paid tiers

Best for

  • Practices with modest telehealth volume
  • Clinicians who need something working today

Consider something else if

  • High-volume virtual-first practices
  • Practices needing deep documentation integration
